Here we have the Victoria’s Secret VSX The Angel Sports Bra. The Sport Angel bra is a medium impact sports bra that has thin racerback straps and still keeps things in place, even if you’re larger chested. The memory foam conforms to your shape and there’s an underwire for additional support. The underwire is nice for extra support, but it’s flexible enough that I actually didn’t even feel it.

Our Impressions

First off, it needs to be said that this is a super cute sports bra. Not that anyone will actually see it since I’m not one to walk around with my sports bra showing most of the time. But I do find myself being more confident in the gym when I like my workout clothes. As soon as I put this on I felt supported. Many sports bras typically fall into two categories: either they are nothing more than a glorified crop top with a tight band under your breasts or they super compress your boobs down to your chest so that any girl under a D cup feels flat chested.

However I need a sports bra that will move with me. And I’m not sure this particular style does that. But maybe I just need to try on the new straps and/or a bigger size. Or if you workout as part of your job, maybe you’re a personally trainer or yoga instructor but don’t want to drop the money on more expensive brands then definitely think about VS as an alternative. 

But if you’re the occasional gym go-er that does the elliptical for 30 minutes or lifts weights, I would consider this bra as a great choice. As long as you don’t mind the squished down look of most other sports bras, you’ll be fine sticking with the cheaper ones out there. They are still super cute and supportive.

 I really enjoyed the shape and the support of this bra. Like I said, I felt confident going to the gym knowing my boobs still looked like real boobs. And I felt confident knowing nothing would be showing through or moving around. this style also has light padding in the straps. Such a great idea. And it has full coverage. If I ever thought about going shirtless at the gym, this is the bra I would think about wearing.

The other style I own is the Incredible by Victoria;s Secret Sport Bra. This is the ultimate when it comes to VS sports bras. Put this one on and your boobs aren’t going anywhere. But again, they will still look like nice breast that are not all squished. Here is a photo of the back of the Angel bra showing the old versus new formation of the back support. 

PROS

• I have really come to enjoy the racerback sports bras, and not sure what took me so long to come around on racerbacks for sports, but I love them! I’m not much of a fan when it comes to wearing it as a regular everyday bra but they are just so comfortable for sports. What I like with some of the newer racerback designs I’ve tried is that they have hooks on them as well. I feel like this gives it a little extra support in the back, while also making it easier to remove when it’s all sweaty and gross. We all know how tough it can be to get a sports bra off when it’s sweaty. 
• The wires don’t poke out like many of the demis do and the padding doesn’t wear down fast, and the bras don’t get that dingy, dirty look to them that some of the others do.

CONS

• The only exercise where I felt uncomfortable was weight lifting. Full disclosure, this might be because I was wearing the wrong size. Sorry VS! You even sent me a measuring tape to double check. 
• The other con was the claim that it has “breathable padding with wicking liner to keep you extra dry. This bra does retain sweat like any other bra on the market. My other sports bras dry out much faster and they don’t have any “extra dry” claims.
• Victoria’s Secret claims that this is a high impact sports bra, but I’m not entirely sure about that. The band at the bottom was a bit loose, despite it fitting perfectly everywhere else. I know that a smaller band would be way too tight, so I think that’s just how it’s cut. 
• When I wore the sports bra while running, I felt like I had a little too much movement. It definitely wasn’t as supportive as some of my other sports bras, and I had to cut my run short because I was worried I would have pain if I went for the long run I’d planned.
• As I’ve mentioned in some of the other reviews, Victoria’s Secret Sport bras are on the pricey end. There are plenty of sports bras you can find that are more expensive, and brands like Nike and Reebok have comparable prices, but it’s not cheap. The good thing is that VS often runs promotions so you can find them for a relatively good price. 

Though it is not a contender for being my favorite sports bra of all time, it’s still pretty good. I definitely would recommend you trying this one on before purchasing it because of the weird band and bra fit situation that I had experienced. I recommend against this one for running, but I think it would be good for lifting, and medium- to low-impact sports.  So if you’re looking for a great fitting and sexy sports bra then I think is’s worth giving the Victoria’s Secret Angel Sports Bra a try.
